If you use propane to heat your home, Valley Energy’s PreBuy Program is one of the best ways to manage your winter fuel costs. Each year, we offer our propane customers the opportunity to purchase gallons in bulk at a locked-in price per gallon, helping you save money and plan your heating expenses with confidence.
Because PreBuy is so popular and quantities are limited, we encourage anyone interested to join our notification list early to secure a spot.
What Is PreBuy?
PreBuy is a special program that allows Valley Energy propane customers to purchase a set number of gallons ahead of the heating season at a lower, locked-in rate. Enrollment typically takes place in late summer or early fall, just before cooler weather arrives.
How Does PreBuy Work?
Here’s how the process works:
- Step 1: Join the List – Customers interested in PreBuy should submit their information through the form on our website or call our office to be added to our notification list.
- Step 2: Receive Your Contract – At the start of the fall season, Valley Energy will send a digital contract to those on the list. The contract includes your gallon amount and price per gallon.
- Step 3: Sign and Pay – Once the contract is signed, you’ll select your payment method and complete the purchase.
This guarantees your propane price for the gallons purchased, providing peace of mind as winter approaches.
Who Can Enroll in PreBuy?
The PreBuy Program is available to current Valley Energy customers who use propane for residential home heating.
PreBuy Requirements
To participate in the PreBuy Program, customers must meet the following requirements:
- Propane must be used for residential heating.
- A 600-gallon minimum purchase is required.
Customers must be on Automatic Delivery with Valley Energy.
Payment Options
When you complete your PreBuy contract, you’ll be able to choose from the following payment methods:
- Credit Card (3% fee applies)
- Check
- E-Check
Payments can be made in person at our office, over the phone at 540-338-6457, or through our secure online portal.
