Brad VanGilder has been an integral part of Valley Energy since 1997. His primary focus has been on the oil department but he has always been a team player and assisted in other areas as needed. The most important part of life for Brad is the people he has the opportunity to interact with, whether family, customers, or coworkers.
He was born in Lynchburg, VA, but grew up in the Loudoun County area. One of his first jobs was driving a taxi for his father’s business in Leesburg. Taxi driving provided him with a chance to talk to people from all backgrounds. It also allowed him to maintain a busy workout schedule. 
Brad has been involved with competitive bodybuilding for many years, including winning the Mr. DC competition!
His journey has led him into the personal training world and for him it’s “all about helping people.” He runs a part time gym out of his home and has several long term clients that have seen incredible progress. Check them out on Instagram!
In between his time as a taxi driver and coming to Valley Energy, Brad worked at the Leesburg and Purcellville pharmacies. During his years there many of his customers became his friends and he continues to keep up with many of them to this day.
Today, he is the first face our customers see when they walk in the door and the main person they speak to on the phone. His tireless “Valley Energy, this is Brad, how can I help you?” is a staple of our office soundtrack.
Above all else, Brad is a family man. He has 3 sons (pictured above) and 5 grandkids (pictured on left). He has been married to his wonderful wife Melissa for the past 30 years.
In his spare time he enjoys going out with his family or having them over to his house in the mountains of West Virginia for a good time. Brad is generous and will do absolutely anything for the people he loves. We are so glad he is part of our Valley Energy family!
