Grillz for a Cause: Supporting A Farm Less Ordinary
Fueling More Than Just Homes
At Valley Energy, we believe in fueling more than just homes. We’re here to fuel the future of our community. That’s why our next Grillz for a Cause event will support A Farm Less Ordinary, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful employment for adults with intellectual, developmental, and cognitive disabilities.
Join us Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 103 Hirst Road in Purcellville for a propane refill and a chance to give back. You can refill your standard grill tank for just $9.99, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to A Farm Less Ordinary.
About A Farm Less Ordinary
Founded in 2016 by Maya Wechsler and Greg Masucci, A Farm Less Ordinary provides a welcoming community and paid, meaningful work for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Their farm in Bluemont, Virginia, produces sustainably grown vegetables — from colorful purple carrots to unique, foot-long green beans — while offering opportunities for individuals to gain confidence, respect, and a sense of belonging.
By supporting A Farm Less Ordinary, you’re helping to ensure that every individual has the chance to thrive, contribute, and be valued as a member of our community.
Can I Exchange My Grill Tank at Grillz?
Yes! Grill tanks can be exchanged for an additional cost at any Grillz date or at any time during business hours at the Valley Energy office:
117 N. Bailey Lane, Purcellville, VA 20132.
What if my grill tank is expired?
Planning to refill your tank at our next Grillz event? Check that expiration date first! Valley Energy cannot refill expired or uncertified tanks, but we’ll happily exchange them on-site for a small additional cost so you can keep grilling without delay.
