The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and at Valley Energy, spring means one thing: Grillz is back!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our community-driven “Grillz” events. It’s our favorite way to bring our team, our customers, and our neighbors together to support the local non-profits that make Purcellville and Northern Virginia such a special place to live.

What is Grillz?

It’s simple: you get a deal, and the community gets a boost. During our Grillz events, you can get your propane grill cylinders filled for just $9.99.

But it’s about more than just an affordable propane fill-up. We believe in giving back to the community that supports us, which is why a portion of the proceeds from every cylinder filled during these events is donated directly to a designated local charity. From youth programs to animal shelters, your propane purchase helps fund initiatives that make a real, positive impact.

Spotlight on: Blue Ridge Wildlife Center

For 25 years, the BRWC has been a vital lifeline for native wildlife in Northern Virginia. What started as an emergency hotline has grown into the region’s premier wildlife veterinary teaching hospital.

“The mission of Blue Ridge Wildlife Center (BRWC) is to protect and conserve native wildlife by integrating veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, public education, professional training, and research.”

The Center operates on four major pillars:

  1. Wildlife Rehabilitation Excellence: Through veterinary medical care and a specialized rehabilitation program, we are committed to rehabilitating injured, orphaned, and ill animals, restoring them to their natural habitats.
  2. Public Awareness and Education: From our wildlife hotline to public outreach initiatives, we impart vital knowledge on wildlife conservation, fostering a deeper understanding of the intricate connections between humans and the natural world.
  3. Advancing One Health Research: In partnership with universities, the data and samples we provide help to identify and address factors contributing to disease transmission between wildlife, domestic animals, and humans. Our findings inform strategies to safeguard public health and preserve ecological balance.
  4. Training Wildlife Conservation Leaders: Through comprehensive programs and mentorship, we equip veterinarians, rehabilitators, and educators with the expertise needed to address the complexities of wildlife conservation.

By joining us on April 11th, you are directly supporting the protection and conservation of our local wild neighbors.
